One thing you need during Eclipse season

We are at the beginning of a powerful month, a cosmic reset and realignment. We will all feel the karmic dissolutions of this month, but it’s up to each of us how we meet it. We can choose to meet the dissolution with grace or we can meet it kicking and screaming. The end result is the same: whatever is old, karmic, not serving us or holding us back will fall away.

As you meet this month, I want to invite you to do one thing to support yourself as you are reshaped by this energy.

Orgasm .

Yep, that’s it.

Make time to orgasm.

Orgasms are such a gift, pure waves of pleasure, natural embodiment, and an organic reminder that life is not meant to be so serious.

Nothing will bring you into your body quite like an orgasm, if you’re orgasming mindfully (so keep your vibrators out of this please*).

Nothing will remind you that life is meant to be enjoyed quite like an orgasm, because that rush of hormones, pleasure and joy is unparalleled.

And nothing will remind you to stop and smell the roses metaphorically like remembering that your body is meant for pleasure.

This month offers us the chance for massive endings (hello Pisces eclipse on September 7th), and brand new beginnings (Virgo eclipse on the 21st). In many ways, we’ve been building up to this for years. Especially since Saturn entered Pisces in March 2023, we have been examining the structures built on illusion and dismantling everything that is not useful any longer. This eclipse season is a karmic point where we can complete the cycles of dismantling, dissolution, and endings that we’ve been wading through for the last 2-3 years.

Karmic ending points can feel heavy, burdensome, and even a bit like we’re drowning in them. This is perhaps extra true with all the Pisces energy (soooo watery!) that we are swimming in.

This is where we circle back to orgasm and pleasure. We can meet the heavy, burdensome, tough energy with aliveness. We can meet it by remembering to take time to come back to ourselves, back to body, back to womb. We can take time to allow our body to release in her own way — via orgasm. Because orgasm is a release, along with being grounding, pleasurable, and fun.

So please, take some time to touch your yoni. Be with your body, inviting in your pleasure. Do this by yourself, with a partner, or both. Have as many orgasms as you want, meeting your body with your fingers, your breath, your awareness. Notice what arises as you meet your yoni. Notice what releases when you orgasm and notice what dissolves when you are present with yourself.

When you feel overwhelmed, frazzled, overburdened, find time as soon as you can to be with your womb and yoni. Hold your vulva and breathe. Invite her to relax, to open. Hold your lower belly and breathe, allowing the muscles to soften. Invite in pleasure and orgasm, and see how your system feels after. I guarantee that if you make time to meet your body in pleasure, you’ll feel better afterwards.

We’re not meant to meet life closed, heavy or overburdened. We’re meant to live with joy, with pleasure, able to meet all that life brings us with some levity. Take small steps towards opening more fully to life by practicing conscious, pleasurable touch.

You deserve it, and so does your body.

*More clarification on why you should ideally keep your vibrators out of this: vibrators do not create mindful orgasms. They create extreme sensation and fast, hard, un-embodied orgasms. Orgasm is healing when it’s grounded, present, embodied. That requires hands-on touch and softness.
